L.A.Southwest members were part of the 170 attendees at the gala 2010 Alumni Association Homecoming event in San Rafael. Raiser Joan was so pleased to be with Pastora’s family who came from Canada. Winsome’s family was also there. A very special part of the morning program was the passing of the mic. Everyone said their name, their dog’s name, and where they were from. There was such a wonderful energy in the room. This was followed by two panel discussions.
The highlight of the evening’s program for us was being there when Melissa received a surprise alumni award to honor her for her outreach work promoting the mission of GDB. Congratulations Melissa!
