This year’s Junior Blind Olympics, presented by Junior Blind of America , was held on Saturday April 10, 2010 at the Junior Blind of America campus in Los Angeles. Opening ceremonies included the Parade of Atheletes and featured the USC marching band.

Events included Archery, Shot Put, Goal Ball, 100 Yard Dash, Running Long Jump, Rowing, Soccer Throw, and Aquatics. In the “Blindness Discovery Area”, participants could take part in activities intended to educate, enhance awareness, and increase sensitivity towards tose who are blind and/or visually impaired.

Volunteers from L.A. Southwest and GDB were available throughout the day as athlete volunteers and coaches, demonstrating Juno work, and providing those always popular “puppy pets”
