L.A. Southwest members joined GDB Oregon Mobility Instructor, Patrick Glines, and GDB Field Manager, Keith Tomlinson, at the November 12, 209 Lifestyles Seminar held at the JBA campus in Los Angeles. Potential guide dog users spent the day learning about the guide dog lifestyle, including walks with dogs in harness. Melissa Hudson with her guide Anya shared her personal experience and led a lively discussion. Our two GDB Pet Ambassador Dogs, Trason and Glee, provided “guide dog walks” as well as being available to groom and pet. By the end of the day all participants requested an application packet … definitely a successful day!
